Our power has returned! 
Sound the ominous music...
For now. 


Maybe it was a matter of who you know. Which is no surprise. 
D called the electricity office, multiple times, Monday through Wednesday: "Later, later. Maybe later. We are looking into it. We are looking into it."


Then yesterday, one of my colleagues at Kivulini called someone she knew at this same office, and yes, the power returned.


We were quite happy to put away the candles and flashlights, collect our dairy products from our neighbors across the street and discover that all was not lost in our own fridge. For now!
