With our half gas, half electric stove, it's not so bad.
Having no water is MUCH worse, and we still have water.
But we still hate to toss out all kinds of perfectly good food: dishes cooked with great zest and care, soppy defrosted meats, milk and juice and all the produce we pick up from the Sunday market already scrubbed and ready for cooking...
We managed to send some cheese and yogurt across the street to Cecily and Ayesha's house for safe storage; they haven't had nearly as many problems with electricity as we have.
Til our laptop batteries can be recharged again friends...
