Tea Time

For busy mornings of meetings and teaching and being asked to rescue reports long overdue: masala chai with soy milk and a small squirt of agave.
For easy mornings, working from home: white tea, black.
For cutting the heaviness of a biryani or tandoori at our favorite Mwanzan restaurant, or after too many sweet treats: green tea, black.
For those unpleasant moments of stomach distress, still a regular part of life even after 7 months: ginger or lemongrass tea, plain.
For after reading The #1 Ladies Detective Agency, for special occasions, or moments of sadness: Rooibos Africana, carefully brought over all the way from Alice’s Tea Cup in the Upper East Side of New York.
For Duncan, every day, at least three times a day, rain or shine, stress or Sunday-Kenya Pride black tea with plenty of cream and sugar. And on rare occasions, peppermint.
We do love all our teas.
