On our way to Ngorogoro, we stopped for lunch at Olduvai Gorge where a 1.75 million year old hominid skull was found in the 1959

One of our favorite moments was when a huge herd of elephants, bulls, babies, mamas and all, walked right past our car in the rain.
So much to see!

Male lions--they leave most of the hunting to the females, eat the best part first and sleep 16-20 hours a day!!

Leopard at sunset; they can drag a fresh kill weighing up to 100 pounds up those trees
Hard to see--but it's an entire ostrich family--they looked like ballerinas ruffling their tutus
In a few months, when the rains come Ngorogoro will completely wash over with green
Believe it or not, these little hyraxes sunning themselves in the early hours are related to elephants!
