We never know what creatures we'll meet inside or outside our house!
There was once a family of mongoose (mongeese?) foraging for who-knows-what in our yard. There are hummingbirds darting from flower to flower, and a family of hawks who live just outside our kitchen window. There are the bullfrogs who keep us awake with their nightly singing competition. And there was that half-eaten tomato in Jill's kitchen that tipped us off to our resident mouse--we're on it, don't worry.
Then this afternoon, we had our visit from a chameleon, doing his strange, slow, two-toed crawl up our front door.
