Marwa and Mihayo

Cake (keki!), sausage and milk. Ice cream and bananas.


These two boys should be in school, but for lack of a uniform (in Mihayo's case, a missing white shirt) they could not go today. We read some simple stories together in English and learned new words. Both Marwa and Mihayo are very bright, and fall over themselves giggling when they know they've mispronounced a word. If the story we were reading happened to feature pictures of food, just about any kind of food, the boys would grab the book out of my hand and begin kissing the pages.
