You may remember Juma whom I wrote about last month. He is the 8 year old orphan with HIV.
Since being treated for TB and HIV over the last few weeks, Juma has gotten much stronger. He now gets out of bed regularly and greets me each day, eagerly holding out his hand for me to shake. He’s also developed a habit of dragging his blue flip flops back and forth across the hall during our morning reports.
On Friday, we came to the room where Juma is staying. As usual, he greeted me happily. A visiting American doctor pulled out her digital camera. In a flash, Juma dashed to his bed, took off his shorts, put on a pair of tan-colored trousers (that match his tan-colored jacket) and changed into a fresh white shirt. He had hooked his small belt to the hospital bed. This he quickly put on before grabbing his little brother and dragging him over to the doctor for the photo opportunity.
I’m very happy to report that Juma is now healthy enough to go home.

HAHAHA! Love it! Great writing, Duncan. I can see it happening. Too cute. Glad to hear he is better. :)
