This past weekend, I paid a house visit to Nurbert and his family. Nurbert has been one of our faithful and favorite Mwanza taxi drivers during our time in Mwanza. He has thanked us numerous times for helping to support his family of 5 boys and 1 girl. His typical day starts at 7:00AM and goes until 10:00PM, just enough for him to sustain his family with food, housing and education.
Recently, Nurbert did not have enough money to pay for a tax fee on his car, which forced him to work only at nights to avoid being noticed by the police. Eventually, he was able to save enough to pay off the fee, but he mentioned it taking a toll on his family.
Nurbert is also a believer, and we have spent several car rides talking about our faith. Pray for Nurbert, that he will be able to provide for his family, and to give his children a bright future.
