Last week marked a new chapter for Baylor - Tanzania. We recently hired several Tanzanians for key upper-level leadership positions, which includes an Executive Director, a HR Director and a Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator. They were introduced to the organization last week during a 4-day team country meeting in Mwanza (the Mbeya team traveled up to Mwanza). The new leadership will be looked upon to take the organization to the next level, especially in anticipation of the new clinics to be opened this fall.
It’s exciting to see the organization growing. Last year at this time, we had a total of 9 staff members. Now we have 17 staff members, which includes 9 Tanzanians. Over the next several months, the plan is to hire an additional 20 Tanzanians in preparation of the clinics being finished.
Please pray for good relationships to be formed as the organization grows, especially in the areas of good teamwork and communication.
