what the children are saying

Since we live close to several schools, we pass by hundreds of children and teenagers each day.

Children: "Shikamoo!"
(Meaning "I give you respect.")
Us: "Marahaba."
(Meaning "I receive your respect.")

Children: "Give me my money!"
Us: "We don't have your money!"
(Children run away giggling.)

Children: "Mzungu! Good morning!"
(Said at any time of the day.)
Us: "Thank you! Good _____ (insert correct time of day)."

Children: "Give me 100 shilings!"
Us: "Why do you want 100 shilings?"
More giggles and running away.

More pictures to come!
